Terms of Service | CV Review

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of cv-review.com and the CV analysis service (the "Service") operated by Inhype Live Limited ("CV-Review", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account, uploading a CV, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you represent that:

You are at least 18 years old
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
The information you provide during registration is accurate and complete
You will keep your account credentials confidential
You will comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws

Affirmative Consent: Each time you purchase credits or a subscription, you affirmatively consent to:

These Terms in their entirety
Our Refund Policy (Section 5.3)
Our Chargebacks and Payment Disputes policy (Section 5.4)
The immediate delivery of digital services upon payment

2. Description of the Service

CV-Review is an automated CV analysis tool. When you upload a CV, the Service produces an advisory report that may include:

An overall score and dimensional breakdown
Identified strengths and weaknesses
Suggested improvements
Rewritten bullet points and summary variants
A job-match analysis if you provide a job description
Visual and formatting feedback
Structured extraction of the fields in your CV

The Service is advisory only. The analysis is produced by an automated system and should be treated as one opinion among many. It is not a guarantee of any employment outcome, and it is not a substitute for advice from a professional career coach, recruiter, or employment lawyer. You are free to accept, ignore, or modify any suggestion we produce.

Service Availability:

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice, except where required by law

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

To create an account, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.

3.2 Registration

You agree to:

Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information
Keep your information current
Maintain the confidentiality of your password
Notify us immediately at hello [at] cv-review.com of any unauthorised access to your account
Accept responsibility for all activity performed under your account

You may create an account by providing an email address and password, or by signing in through a supported third-party provider (Google, LinkedIn, or GitHub). If you register via a third-party provider, your use of that provider is subject to the provider's own terms.

3.3 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you:

Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy (Section 7)
Provide false or misleading information
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
File a chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal in breach of Section 5.4
Fail to pay outstanding balances
Use the Service in a way that creates risk to us or other users

If your account is terminated for cause, any remaining credits are forfeited and you will not receive a refund.

4. Uploaded Content and Licence

4.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in the CVs, job descriptions, and other materials you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

4.2 Licence to Us

By uploading Your Content, you grant Inhype Live Limited a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

Store, process, and transmit Your Content to produce the analysis you requested
Generate derivative outputs (scores, suggestions, rewrites, screenshots) that are specifically designed to help you
Display the outputs and Your Content back to you in your account
Use Your Content to provide customer support when you request it

This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, subject to the backup-retention timelines described in our Privacy Policy.

We will never use Your Content to train any machine-learning model, sell it to third parties, or display it publicly.

4.3 Your Representations and Warranties

You represent and warrant that:

Your Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
You have the right to upload and process Your Content under the laws of your jurisdiction
Your Content does not contain malware, viruses, or malicious code
Your Content does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or obscene material
You have obtained all necessary consents if your CV references other individuals (e.g., references or co-workers)

4.4 Prohibited Content

You must not upload content that:

Is not a genuine CV or job description
Is intended to exploit the Service for automated scraping, benchmarking, or reverse-engineering
Is designed to manipulate, probe, or bypass the analysis system ("prompt injection")
Contains another person's personal information without their consent

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules without notice.

5. Payment, Credits, and Refunds

5.1 Credit-Based System

The Service operates on a credit-based model:

One credit = one review of one CV
Credits are purchased either individually (one-time purchase) or as part of a recurring subscription
When you start a review, one credit is deducted from your balance
Credits from a subscription are added to your balance at the start of each billing cycle and expire at the end of that cycle unless carried over by our policy in force at the time

5.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a leading PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number.

You authorise us (and Stripe, as our processor) to charge your payment method for the purchase you have selected
Prices are displayed before checkout and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless explicitly stated
All prices are in USD unless otherwise indicated at checkout
For subscriptions, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the interval displayed at checkout until you cancel

You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until the period ends.

5.3 Refund Policy

Our service operates on a "review upon request, refund in good faith" basis. Because the Service delivers an automated digital product immediately upon purchase, all sales are generally final. However, we recognise that technical issues can occasionally affect service delivery, and we want every customer to feel fairly treated.

Automatic refunds:

If our system detects that a review failed to complete due to a technical error on our side, the credit consumed by that review is automatically refunded to your balance. You do not need to contact us.

Manual refunds (exceptional cases):

If you believe you are entitled to a refund for any other reason, you must contact us first at hello [at] cv-review.com before opening a dispute with your bank or card provider.

Email us with the subject line "Refund Request" and describe the issue in detail
Allow us up to 48 business hours to investigate and respond
We will work with you in good faith to resolve any legitimate concern
If we determine that a refund is warranted, we will issue it to the original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days

We grant manual refunds at our discretion, and we typically approve them in situations such as:

Clear technical failure that our automatic refund system missed
Duplicate or accidental charges
Unauthorised account access that led to an unintended purchase (evidenced by a support investigation)

We generally do not grant refunds for:

A change of mind after the review was completed and viewed
Dissatisfaction with the advisory nature of the analysis (the Service is advisory, as explained in Section 2)
Failure to use purchased credits within a reasonable time
Circumstances that arise from your own violation of these Terms

If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, please contact us before disputing any charge. We would much rather resolve your concern directly than have you absorb the delay and friction of a payment dispute.

5.4 Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

BY USING THE SERVICE AND MAKING A PURCHASE, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING.

Prohibited Actions. You explicitly agree not to:

File a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us at hello [at] cv-review.com and allowing us 48 business hours to investigate and respond as described in Section 5.3
Dispute any charge through your payment provider for reasons we could have resolved directly
Claim unauthorised use after voluntarily making a purchase
Request a reversal of payment after a review has been delivered and viewed in good faith
Make false claims of fraud or non-delivery

Service Delivery. You acknowledge that:

Digital credits and review results are delivered immediately upon successful payment
The Service is activated instantly and accessible in your account
You receive full access to use the credits immediately
The digital product has been delivered in full upon credit activation and review completion

Dispute Resolution First. If you have any billing concern, technical issue, or service problem:

You must contact us first at hello [at] cv-review.com
Allow us 48 business hours to investigate and respond
We will work in good faith to resolve your concern, issuing a refund where appropriate under Section 5.3
Only after we have failed to resolve a legitimate concern in good faith may you consider escalating through your payment provider

Chargeback Consequences. If you initiate a chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal in breach of this Section 5.4 — that is, without first contacting us and giving us 48 business hours to resolve the issue — we reserve the right to:

Immediately suspend or terminate your account
Forfeit all unused credits on your account without compensation
Permanently ban you from using the Service
Pursue legal action to recover losses, including the disputed amount plus chargeback fees and administrative costs
Report fraudulent chargebacks to fraud prevention networks and credit agencies
Hold you liable for all costs, fees, and legal expenses we incur as a result of the dispute
Provide comprehensive transaction records, service-delivery logs, IP addresses, timestamps, and usage data to your payment processor to contest the dispute

Evidence We Maintain. To contest fraudulent chargebacks and protect legitimate customers, we actively maintain:

Detailed transaction records and timestamped logs of every credit purchase and deduction
Records of service delivery, including review completion timestamps and output fingerprints
Account activity logs, including sign-in history and IP addresses
Evidence that the user accepted these Terms and the Refund Policy at the time of purchase

Acknowledgment Required. By completing a purchase, you confirm that:

You are the authorised user of the payment method
You understand this is a digital service delivered immediately
You will not dispute legitimate charges through a chargeback before giving us an opportunity to resolve the issue directly
You have read and agree to this Chargebacks and Payment Disputes policy
You waive your right to chargeback except in cases of (a) actual unauthorised use of your card by a third party or (b) our failure to resolve a legitimate refund request in good faith within 48 business hours

5.5 Taxes

You are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with your purchase, including Value Added Tax (VAT) where applicable, sales tax in your jurisdiction, and any other governmental charges. Where we are required to collect tax on your behalf, it will be added at checkout.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You must not:

Abuse the Service. Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure, or interfere with any other user's access
Scrape or extract. Use any bot, crawler, scraper, or automated means to access the Service, other than standard browsing, or attempt to extract data we do not intentionally expose
Reverse engineer. Disassemble, decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive the source code or model weights of any part of the Service
Benchmark. Use the Service to benchmark, compare with, or compete with any other CV analysis or resume tool
Probe or exploit. Attempt to bypass, manipulate, or exploit our analysis system, including through adversarial inputs designed to produce specific outputs
Resell. Resell, redistribute, or provide the Service as part of your own offering without our prior written permission
Impersonate. Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Break the law. Use the Service to violate any applicable law, including laws governing data protection, intellectual property, or export control

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe to be in violation of this section, with or without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the website design, code, logos, brand name "CV-Review", trademarks, analysis methodology, and any outputs we generate that are not derivative of Your Content — are owned by Inhype Live Limited and are protected by:

Copyright laws
Trademark laws
Trade secret laws
Other applicable intellectual property laws

7.2 Your Licence to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service (other than the outputs we generate for you, which you may use freely)
Reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the Service
Remove copyright or proprietary notices
Use the Service to build competing products
Frame, mirror, or republish any part of the Website

7.3 Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose without any obligation to compensate you.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information in compliance with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and other applicable data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Warranties

9.1 Service Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Implied warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation
Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any analysis or suggestion produced by the Service

9.2 No Guarantee of Outcome

We do not guarantee any particular outcome from using the Service. This includes but is not limited to: number of interviews received, job offers obtained, salary increases, approval of visa or immigration applications, academic admissions, or any other personal or professional result. The Service is an automated advisory tool; any decision you make based on it remains yours alone.

9.3 Advisory Nature

The analysis, suggestions, rewrites, and job-match outputs produced by the Service are advisory and educational in nature. They are not:

Legal advice
Employment or HR advice from a licensed professional
A substitute for a human career coach, recruiter, or employment lawyer
Guaranteed to be factually accurate in every detail

You are solely responsible for reviewing any output before acting on it or submitting it to any third party.

9.4 Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (storage and delivery), and one or more third-party AI analysis providers. We are not responsible for:

Outages, errors, or security incidents affecting third-party services
Changes to third-party pricing or availability
Decisions made by third parties regarding their services

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

10.1 Exclusion of Damages

INHYPE LIVE LIMITED AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages
Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Loss of employment opportunities or career outcomes
Loss of data, information, or goodwill
Service interruptions or delays
Damages arising from unauthorised access to your account that is not caused by our negligence
Damages arising from your reliance on any advisory output produced by the Service

10.2 Maximum Liability

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

The total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or
£100 (one hundred pounds)

10.3 Jurisdictional Limits

Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Inhype Live Limited and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, settlements, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right
The content you upload, including any claim that it infringes, misappropriates, or violates a third party's rights

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

Using the "Delete Account" option in your account settings, or
Emailing us at hello [at] cv-review.com

Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits except as provided in Section 5.3.

12.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if:

You breach these Terms
We receive a chargeback or payment dispute from your account in breach of Section 5.4
We are required to do so by law or a court order
We reasonably believe your account is being used for fraud, abuse, or illegal activity

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your right to access the Service ends immediately
We will delete your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5.4, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13) will remain in effect

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to any conflict-of-law principles.

13.2 Jurisdiction

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Service.

13.3 Informal Resolution First

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to:

Contact us at hello [at] cv-review.com with a clear description of the dispute
Negotiate in good faith to resolve the matter
Allow at least 30 days for informal resolution efforts

Most disputes can be resolved quickly and amicably through email. We commit to engaging with every good-faith request.

13.4 Arbitration (Optional)

Where permitted by law and agreed by both parties, disputes may alternatively be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) under its rules in force at the time the arbitration is commenced.

13.5 Class Action Waiver

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis only and waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action against us. This waiver does not apply where it is unenforceable under applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will:

Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
For material changes that affect your rights, notify you at least 30 days in advance by email or in-app notification
For minor editorial or clarifying changes, post the updated Terms without prior notice

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and may request account termination. We will not apply material changes retroactively to past transactions.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Inhype Live Limited regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.

15.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. No waiver is effective unless it is in writing and signed by us.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or otherwise, without restriction.

15.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, government actions, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, or the acts of third-party service providers.

15.6 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights in any person other than Inhype Live Limited and you.

15.7 Notices

Any notice we are required to send you will be sent to the email address associated with your account. Any notice you are required to send us must be sent to hello [at] cv-review.com with a clear subject line describing the matter.

15.8 Language

These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation for convenience, the English version will prevail in the event of any conflict.
